1. Introduction

Welcome to KroNav. KRONAV (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to prioritizing your privacy and ensuring your personal schedule data remains secure. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the KroNav mobile application, including our AI and voice capabilities.

2. Offline First & Local Storage

KroNav is built with a strictly "Offline First" architecture using local SQLite. This means your events, tasks, goals, and routines are stored directly on your device. We do not sync your core schedule data to our servers. Your schedule data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the AI scheduling feature described in Section 3.

3. AI and Voice Data Processing

To provide our intelligent scheduling and voice features, KroNav utilizes Google's Gemini AI via the Firebase AI platform.

  • Natural Language: When you use AI commands to create or modify tasks, the textual content of your scheduling request is securely sent to Google's Gemini AI API for processing. Google processes this data according to their Firebase Data Processing Terms. We do not send personal identifiers with these requests.
  • Voice Commands: Voice input is first converted to text on your device using Apple's Speech Recognition framework. The resulting text is then sent to Google's Gemini AI to understand and act on your scheduling intent. The original audio recording is not transmitted to any server.
  • User Consent: AI data processing only occurs when you explicitly initiate an AI command. KroNav does not passively collect, record, or transmit your data in the background.

Your data sent to Google's Gemini AI is used strictly for fulfilling your immediate scheduling request and is not used by Google to train AI models. Data processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase Terms of Service.

4. Third-Party Services & Data Collection

To improve KroNav and manage premium features, we use the following authorized third-party services:

  • Firebase Analytics (Google): We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage metrics such as screen views, feature interactions, and subscription funnel events (e.g., paywall views, plan selections). This data is not linked to your identity and is used solely to improve the app experience. We do not collect Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. No App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt is required because KroNav does not engage in tracking as defined by Apple.
  • Firebase Crashlytics (Google): We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and performance diagnostics. This includes anonymous device information (device model, OS version), crash stack traces, and performance metrics. This data is not linked to your identity and is used solely to identify and fix bugs.
  • Firebase Remote Config (Google): We use Firebase Remote Config to manage app settings remotely (such as usage limits and trial durations). This service does not collect personal data.
  • Firebase App Check (Google): We use Firebase App Check to verify that requests to our backend services originate from authentic instances of KroNav. This uses Apple's DeviceCheck/App Attest frameworks and does not collect personal data.
  • Adapty: We use Adapty to securely manage your premium subscription status and purchase history. Adapty receives your purchase transaction data from Apple to verify and manage your subscription. We do not store or process your credit card details; all direct financial transactions are handled securely by Apple through the App Store. Adapty's data practices are governed by their Privacy Policy.

5. Data We Collect

The following table summarizes the data types we collect, whether they are linked to your identity, and their purpose:

We do NOT collect: contacts, calendar data (from Apple Calendar), location data, photos, health & fitness data, financial information, or advertising identifiers.

6. How We Use Your Data

We use the minimal data collected strictly for the following purposes:

  • Providing and maintaining the KroNav scheduling service
  • Processing your AI scheduling commands
  • Managing your subscription status
  • Improving app stability and performance through crash analytics
  • Understanding usage patterns to improve features (anonymized analytics)

We do NOT sell, lease, rent, or distribute your personal data to any third-party advertising networks or data brokers.

7. Children's Privacy

KroNav is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@kronav.app. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

8. Your Rights

Because your primary schedule data lives on your device, you have full control. Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations), you may also have the following rights regarding any data we process:

  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal data.
  • Right to Data Portability: You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to Object: You may object to certain processing of your data.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@kronav.app. We will respond within 30 days.

How to Delete Your Data

  • Delete All Local Data: Go to your iPhone Settings → General → iPhone Storage → KroNav → Delete App. This permanently removes all locally stored schedule data, preferences, and cached information from your device.
  • Delete Server-Side Data: To request deletion of any data associated with your subscription or analytics, email us at support@kronav.app. We will process your request within 30 days.

9. Data Retention & Security

We retain data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:

  • Local schedule data: Stored on your device until you delete the app.
  • Analytics data: Retained by Firebase for up to 14 months, then automatically deleted.
  • Crash reports: Retained by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days.
  • Subscription data: Retained by Adapty for the duration of your subscription plus any legally required retention period.
  • AI request data: Processed in real-time by Google Gemini; not persisted by KroNav. Google's retention is governed by their Data Processing Terms.

We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encrypted HTTPS connections for all network communication. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
